NAMI-UW 2024 Spring Gala

The 2024 Spring Gala will take place on May 1st, 2024, 7:00-8:30 pm at Memorial Union, Tripp Commons. Please feel free to bring anyone you’d like to attend this event to celebrate with us — all are welcome!

ALL members are required to fill out this forum regarding attendance and to vote on the menu for themselves and/or their additional guests. The forum will be due at 11:59pm on 4/9/24 (April 9th).
*Attending this event will count towards as either 1 meeting, social, volunteer, fundraiser, or additional point* 

Event Details: 
- Dress Code: 
Dressy Casual to Semi-formal
- Food: Buffet-style
- 
Menu Choices (the option with the most votes will be served)
We’ll be hosting plenty of activities and raffles with a variety of prizes, each attendee will be given one free ticket (any additional tickets will be $1).
Event Agenda:
  • Start time: 7:00 pm
  • Pre-Award Ceremony: 7:00-7:30 pm
  • Attendees are free to socialize, play games, enter raffles, take photos, and dine!
  • Award Ceremony: 7:30-8:30 pm

 In order to be eligible for a Fall Semester award, you must have either:
  1. Fulfilled all Active Membership Requirements
  2. Fulfilled all point requirements
  3. Paid the Membership Fee
*Fall Semester nominations will be sent out on March 27th!*In order to be eligible for a Spring Semester award, you must have either:
  1. Fulfilled all Active Membership Requirements
  2. Fulfilled all point requirements OR earned the most amount of offered points for a given category before April 20th  
  3. Paid the Membership Fee
*Spring Semester nominations will be sent out on April 24th!* 
The following awards will be rewarded to students for both the Spring and Fall semester:
  • “Most Involved” Award: Earned the most membership points overall
    • The “Most Involved” Award recognizes the outstanding contributions of a student who has made a significant impact on NAMI-UW through consistent involvement! This award celebrates the hard work and dedication of a student who has shown exceptional dedication, passion, and a commitment to NAMI-UW’s mission.
  • “Education Excellence” Award: Earned the most GMM points 
    • The “Education Excellence” Award recognizes a student's outstanding commitment to education and has made a significant impact on NAMI-UW! This award celebrates a student who has demonstrated an exceptional dedication to learning about mental health and mental illness, understands the importance of mental health education and possesses exceptional dedication to NAMI-UW’s mission.
  • “Volunteer Star” Award: Earned the most volunteer points
    • The “Volunteer Star” Award recognizes the efforts of a student who has made a significant impact on NAMI-UW! This award celebrates the dedication of a student who has committed oneself to giving back to their community through acts of service and support, and possesses exceptional dedication to NAMI-UW’s mission.
  • “Fundraising Champion” Award: Earned the most fundraiser points
    • The “Fundraising Champion” Award recognizes a student's dedication to making a meaningful impact on mental health awareness and advocacy through fundraising efforts, and celebrates their outstanding contributions to the mental health community and exceptional dedication to NAMI-UW’s mission.
  • “Social Butterfly” Award: Earned the most social points
    • The “Social Butterfly” Award recognizes a student who has made a significant impact on NAMI-UW who has shown an immense commitment to fostering a sense of community! This award celebrates the dedication of a student who has shown what it means to be a part of a community, the importance of making connections and building relationships, and possesses exceptional dedication to NAMI-UW’s mission.
 The prizes awarded to students who’ve won an award will be any of the following:  
  • Cash prize
  • Giftcards
  • NAMI-UW Merchandise
  • & More!
