Who is a NAMI Ambassador?

NAMI Ambassadors are UW-Madison Students committed to exemplifying the NAMI mission on campus and in our community.

Are you passionate about NAMI? Do you love to work on teams? Are you interested in becoming a leader for a student organization that is growing rapidly and gaining momentum here on campus? If you answered YES to any of those, we are looking for YOU! NAMI-UW is looking for highly motivated, very independent, NAMI-UW members who are looking to expand their commitment to NAMI as ambassadors and committee ambassadors for the Fall 2016 semester! This is a new position so your duties will be need-based and we are always open to suggestions as to how you see yourself molding into NAMI leadership!

General Ambassadors
- 1 office hour/week
- Help keep the office a clean, organized, and nice space to study/socialize/ relax.
- Contribute programming suggestions and ideas.
- approx. 2 meetings per semester with an exec board member who will oversee the duties of this position

Treasury Ambassadors
- 1 office hour/week
- Help with grant writing and attending grant meetings with the Treasurer
- Trustworthy
- Help with dues collection
- Great communication with Fundraising Coordinator and ambassadors to coordinate funds.

Fundraising Ambassadors
-1 office hour/week
- meetings, as needed… (e.g. before fundraisers) with fundraising coordinator
-attendance at ½ of fundraising events as leadership presence
-Willingness to recruit other members to participate in fundraising events
-Has creative ideas and follow through to start new fundraisers
-Good at email communication (the Fundraising director needs to be able to get in contact with you!)

Marketing/Outreach Ambassadors
- 1 office hour/week
- Assist in Social Media posts and sharing of posts
- Help to spread the word of NAMI on a larger scale at UW-Madison
- Assist outreach and marketing coordinators in spreading the word of NAMI to lectures and groups

Volunteer Ambassadors
-1 office hour/week
- meetings, as needed… with volunteer coordinator
- attendance at ½ of volunteering events as leadership presence
- Eager to seek out and promote creative volunteer opportunities for members of NAMI
- Good at email communication (the Volunteer Director needs to be able to get in contact with you!)

Events Ambassadors
-1 office hour/week
- Attendance of NAMI-UW events as leadership presence
-Has creative ideas for events and socials on campus
- Integral part to planning and executing the Stress Relief Event

PRIORITY APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, September 28th by 6:30pm

Following the deadline applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, as needed.
